Battleship prepares ‘Wreaths of Honor’ for holiday season

Wreaths honoring veterans be displayed on the lifelines of the Battleship from Dec. 7 through the new year.

SOUTHEASTHERN N.C. — Military families wanting to honor loved ones who served this holiday season can do so through a Friends of the Battleship program.

Wreaths of Honor is open for orders, which must be placed by Nov. 22. For $40, families can honor a loved one who served with a wreath that will have a ribbon and personalized card, featuring a person’s name, branch served and years. The wreaths will be displayed on the lifelines of the Battleship from Dec. 7 through the new year.

In 2023, the program features 230 wreaths laid in veterans’ honor. Proceeds benefit programming, acquisitions and preserving the U.S.S. North Carolina.

The wreaths can be reserved here.
