Week 2 High School Football Preview

Make sure to bring the rain gear if you have plans to head out to one of the many High School Football games in the area tonight as the forecast calls for showers and possibly thunderstorms into this evening. As we enter week two of the season, a number of area teams will play on the home turf for the first time this year. South Brunswick travels to Ashley. Both teams are looking for their first win of the season. Hoggard(1-0) takes on 71st out of Fayetteville in their first home game.  The Laney Bucs (0-1) open their home schedule with a non conference game against Union. New Hanover(1-0) travels to Scotland County. The Scots were one of only two teams to beat the Wildcats last year. Scotland County also eventually went on to win the 4-A State Championship. West Brunswick hosts Socastee High School(SC). North Brunswick plays at Trask. Pender travels across the county for a match up against Topsail. Whiteville takes on West Columbus at home. South Columbus plays at Red Spings and Wallace Rose Hill is at home against Clinton. All games are set to kick off at 7:30pm.
