Recall: 2 types of Trader Joe’s cookies could contain rocks

A popular grocery store chain has recalled two brands of cookies due to containing foreign material.

Customers should return their Trader Joe’s Almond Windmill Cookies (SKU# 98744), marked with sell-by dates Oct. 19-21, 2023, or Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies (SKU# 82752) with sell-by dates Oct. 17-21, 2023.

The grocery store was alerted the product may contain rocks. All other potentially affected product has been removed from sale and destroyed, it announced in a release.

Those who choose to return the items rather than discard them can get a full refund from Trader Joe’s.

Questions can be answered by calling (626) 599-3817, Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. PT or send an email here.
