The business also sustained damages during Hurricane Matthew and Florence. After Florence last year, the restaurant’s started a GoFundMe to raise $100,000 to repair the building.
Yacht Basin Eatery operated uninsured during Florence, according to the GoFundMe, and all claims after Matthew were denied. Damage after the hurricane included a damaged roof, structural damage due to water, and kitchen damage. The GoFundMe raised nearly $3,000.
