WILMINGTON — The Wilson Center at Cape Fear Community College will host Los Angeles-based tribute group Vitamin String Quartet and folk sibling trio Girl Named Tom in a joint performance this October.
The show will take place Oct. 6 at 7 p.m.
Known for transforming pop and rock anthems into virtuosic instrumentals, Vitamin String Quartet is one of the most popular string ensembles in the world. Erasing the boundaries between classical, dance, hip-hop and pop, VSQ performs renditions of everything from Billie Eilish to BTS, Taylor Swift to The Weeknd, and Danny Elfman to Daft Punk. It’s reaminaginings can be heard in Netflix’s “Bridgerton” — including a cover of “thank u, next” by Ariana Grande — as well as HBO’s “Westworld,” and ABC’s “Modern Family.”
Girl Named Tom will be collaborating with VSQ on their latest tour, where they’ll integrate the famed quartet’s work into their new music and beloved, age-old covers. Girl Named tom is still the only group ever to win NBC’s “The Voice,” and the trio is known for their dynamic, exquisitely arranged performances.
Tickets will be available online to Wilson Center Members on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 10 a.m. Tickets go on sale online and in person to the general public on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 10 a.m.
