Tennessee Williams play coming to Brunswick, auditions next month

BRUNSWICK COUNTY — A community theater company is planning to host a spring show from one of America’s greatest playwrights. Auditions will open mid February.

Brunswick Little Theater is opening the “The Glass Menagerie” by Tennessee Williams April 20 through 23 and 27 through 30 at Brunswick Little Theatre in Southport (8068 River Rd. SE). 

No appointment is necessary to audition on Feb. 12, noon to 2 p.m., and Feb. 13, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the little theatre. Auditions also will be held in Wilmington on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hannah Block USO Building located at the corner of Orange and 2nd streets downtown (120 S. 2nd St.).

Should callbacks be needed, it will take place at the Southport little theater on Thursday, Feb. 16, 7 p.m.

All roles are open for Tom, Laura, Jim and Amanda; an audition form should be filled out here and actor sides are available here.
