
SOUTHEASTERN, N.C. — If burnt turkeys and squabbling around the family dinner table aren’t your thing, several restaurants in the Cape Fear region are open Thanksgiving day.
Whether you want to skip the dishes, the cooking, or you just have some cabin fever, there are plenty of options to stay busy and full.

Here’s a list of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and theaters that plan to stay open on Thanksgiving, Nov. 28, 2019. Know one that’s missing? Let us know in the comments!
- Blockade Runner Resort – An extensive Thanksgiving buffet will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. For reservations, call (910) 256-7109. View the menu here.
- Bluewater Waterfront Grill – Open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Traditional Thanksgiving meal plus baked salmon. Reservations are encouraged.
- Boca Bay Seafood – Open from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Traditional Thanksgiving buffet at $32.95 and $12.95 for children under 12. Reservations are recommended.
- Board and Barrel – Oven 6:30 a.m. – 11 p.m. and serving drink specials, plus ‘Fireball Cheesecake.’
- Bridge Tender: Open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. A four-course meal at $29 ($15 for children). Reservations are required.
- Buffalo Wild Wings – All area locations will be open from 4 p.m. to midnight. Boneless wings will be on special.
- Cape Fear Wine & Beer – Open from 1 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Thanksgiving drink specials.
- Carolina Ale House – Open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.
- Carolina BBQ – Open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. A southern BBQ buffet plus traditional Thanksgiving options.
- Casey’s Buffet – Open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Traditional Thanksgiving meal, no reservations.
- Crackle Barrel -All area locations will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Serving a traditional Thanksgiving meal, $12.99 for adults and $7.99 for kids.
- Freddie’s (Kure Beach): Two seatings at 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Reservations required and limited.
- Front Street Brewery – Open from 11:30 a.m. to midnight. Thanksgiving plates include turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy , green beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce ( $7.99 for lunch and $10.99 for dinner).
- Gallagher’s Sports Bar and Grill (Surf City) – Will feature a traditional Thanksgiving plate at $14.99 with a limited menu. Reservations are not required.
- The Harp – Open from noon to 8 p.m. A traditional Thanksgiving buffet.
- Henry’s: Open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thanksgiving plates at $23.99 in addition to regular menu. Reservations recommended.
- Hops Supply Co. – Open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Reservations are required. Thanksgiving dinners for $22.
- K&W Cafeteria – Open for breakfast at 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Open for lunch and dinner from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., when $8.99 Thanksgiving plates will be available for dine-in or takeaway.
- Oceanic (Wrightsville Beach): Open from 11 a.m. to 9 pm. A two-course Thanksgiving dinner at $25.
- Pilot House – Open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Four-course Thanksgiving meals at $30 for adults and $15 for kids. Reservations are highly recommended.
- Port City Java – All corporate branches in the area will open at 6 a.m. and close at noon.
- Regal Mayfaire Cinema 16 – Normal hours. Will be open from 10:30 a.m. (first showing at 11 a.m.) and closed after last showing.
- Ruth’s Chris Steak House – Open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thanksgiving plates at $41.95 ($14.95 for children). Regular menu available as well. Reservations recommended.
- Steam Restaurant – Open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oysters, shrimp, and traditional Thanksgiving options at $38 ($16 for children under 12). Reservation only.
- Stone Theatres – The Pointe 14 – Normal hours. Open at 10 a.m. and closed after its last showing.
- Sweet N Savory – Open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. All-you-can-eat Thanksgiving platters at $34 ($27 for seniors and $22 for kids).
