WILMINGTON — Freida June White, 80, previously of Carolina Beach, passed away peacefully at home Friday, Jan. 12, 2018. Born June 6, 1937, in Lake City, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Ollie (Bunch) West.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Carlton White; parents; son, Stuart Lee White; and one sister and three brothers.
She is survived by her two daughters, Vicky (White) Musselwhite (Roy) of Newport, N.C., and Nancy Gail (White) Shaw of Wilmington; two grandchildren, Ryan Comer (Tonya) and Brandy Comer, both of Newport, N.C.; five great-grandchildren, Alexis, Jayden, Ryley, Elijah and Zeek, all of Newport, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 20, at Andrews Market Street Chapel. A private burial will take place at Wilmington National Cemetery next to her husband and son.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name made to Pleasure Island Paws, 101 Silver Lake Road, Wilmington, NC 28412, would be appreciated.
