The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for portions of New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties for early Wednesday morning.
According to the NWS, the freeze warning is in effect 4-9 a.m. Wednesday.
Temperatures are forecast in the 30s, accompanied by a steady northwest wind at 10 to 15 mph and gusts in excess of 20 mph.
The coldest temperatures will occur between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. Early spring crops and other sensitive vegetation could be damaged, the NWS warns.
