WILMINGTON — Myron Hinson Allen, known by many as M.H., a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 91.
Born on February 11, 1935, in Bladenboro, North Carolina, Myron lived a long and full life surrounded by family and friends. Myron served many years in the Army National Guard and was an active member of Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Allen; his parents, Myron Hester Allen and Selma (Brisson) Allen; and his brothers, Wilton Allen, Stacy Allen, and Buddy Allen. Myron’s memory will be cherished by those he leaves behind, including his sons, Robert Allen (Tina) and Glenn Allen; his step-children, Cindy Ward (Don), Debbie Ellis (Dan), Terri Afton, and Charlie Afton; and his brothers, David Allen and Benny Allen. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will continue to honor his legacy.
Myron Hinson Allen will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones.
