WILMINGTON — Robert “Rob” Lloyd Lazzari, a devoted family man, accomplished professional, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, in Novant Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Rob lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication, reaching the age of 71.

Born of December 9, 1954, raised in Fairhope, Pennsylvania, where he graduated from Belle Vernon High School Class of 1972. A proud Eagle Scout, he embodied the virtues of service and leadership throughout his life. He pursued higher education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, which laid the foundation for a distinguished career.

Rob began his professional career at Fox Grocery, his most notable position at Solar Power Industries as Vice President, Resource Management in Rostraver, PA. His career took him to Burlington, NC, where he excelled as Chief Financial Officer at Machine Specialties Inc. He later contributed his expertise to Global Industries, enriching the company for five years before retiring. Rob’s work ethic and integrity left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Rob was a man of many passions. Known as a grill master, he delighted family and friends with his culinary skills. Rob cherished vacationing to Carolina Beach, NC, and journeyed across the country with his family in their conversion van. As a Pittsburgh Steelers fanatic, he also enjoyed basketball, softball, bowling, golfing, playing cards, and loved movies. A devoted father, Rob found joy in coaching his son’s football team and daughter’s softball team, nurturing their love for sports, and giving back to the community as a vice president of Rostraver Midget League alongside his late best friend, Tomm Lazar.

After relocating to Leland, NC, Rob became a member of Crosswinds Church, where he formed lasting friendships and deepened his faith.

Rob was the son of the late Lloyd and Betty (Bell) Lazzari. He leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience through his surviving family: his devoted wife of 47 years, Marcy Cieply Lazzari; his children Kristina Oliver and her husband Chris, and Robbie Lazzari and his wife Liz; his cherished grandchildren, Liam, Lena, Brielle and Dominic; his beloved sister, Cindy Lazzari; and the treasured memory of his faithful dog, Chiko, whose companionship brought him joy for many years.

A celebration of Rob’s life will be held in July 2027, providing an opportunity for friends and family to gather in his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests monetary donations to assist with funeral expenses.

Rob Lazzari’s warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
