Thomas Grady Presley, Jr., a devoted and cherished member of his family and community, was called home on May 4, 2026, in New Hanover County, NC. Born on June 2, 1949, in Moore County, NC, he passed away at the age of 76, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and service.
Thomas was a man of unwavering faith and commitment. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. Throughout his life, he remained a steadfast supporter of his fellow veterans, particularly through his dedicated support of Wounded Warriors.
Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Thomas Grady Presley Sr. and Myrtle Lee Love Presley, his sister Brenda Presley Hooker, and his brothers David Presley, Buddy Presley, and Warren Presley.
He is survived by his brothers Steve Presley and Mark Presley, and his sister Karen Presley Reece. His cherished nieces and nephews Heather Jernigan (John), Stephanie Presley, Meredith Simmons, Allison Presley, Jill Arrington (Stephen), Daniel Presley, Aaron Presley (April), Christopher Presley, Mandy McNeill (Jason), Meagan Oyster (Curtis), Lauren Presley, and Thomas E. Presley—will fondly remember him as a loving uncle. Additionally, Thomas’s memory will be treasured by several great-nieces and nephews whom he adored.
A man of simple desires, Thomas requested that no formal services be held. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial donations be made in his honor to Wounded Warriors and Tunnel To Towers, organizations close to his heart.
