35-year-old Leland woman arrested for attempted murder

BRUNSWICK COUNTY — A 35-year-old woman is in custody after an incident in Leland.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Jennifer Antoinette Bryant of Orleans Street. Bryant was taken into custody around 4 a.m. on May 10, as deputies responded to a residence on Old Cedar Loop Road in Navassa regarding an assault investigation.

Bryant has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and is in custody at the Brunswick County Detention Facility. The investigation remains ongoing.
