WILMINGTON — Betty Shinn Turner, 87, of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026 at her residence.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her father serving as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army.
Betty lived a long and meaningful life. She devoted her professional life to a career as a registered nurse, retiring from New Hanover Regional Medical Center, where she worked until her retirement as a cardiac surgery nurse. She loved the beach, crafting and cooking.
Betty cherished her family. She is lovingly remembered by her three daughters and their spouses, eight grandchildren and spouses, and five great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her great pride and joy. Her warmth, kindness, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She will be remembered with love, respect, and admiration. Her legacy of love, care and devotion will endure in the hearts of those who knew her.
