Robert Keith Jackson, 69

Robert Keith Jackson (Wilmington Funeral & Cremation)

WILMINGTON — Robert Keith Jackson, a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and loyal friend, passed away on March 11, 2026, in the presence and comfort of his children, leaving behind a legacy defined by discipline, dedication and deep love for his family.

A man of remarkable commitment and strength, Robert “Bob” Jackson earned his 2nd degree Black Belt in Okinawa Kenpo Karate under Grand Master Odo- an achievement that reflected years of perseverance and passion. This accomplishment paved the way for him to become a respected Sensei and the proud owner of his own karate school. There, he found one of his greatest joys: teaching and mentoring children, instilling in them confidence, respect, and self-discipline that would last a lifetime.

Beyond the dojo, Bobby Jackson was a certified concealed carry instructor, committed to educating others on responsibility and safety. He was an avid outdoorsman who found peace and happiness when in nature, especially while fishing – an activity he cherished, that was shared with him by his beloved father. These moments brought him both solitude and connection with those he loved.

Yet, above all his achievements, the greatest cornerstone of his life was his unwavering love for his wife of 47 years, Kathy Priddy Jackson, who he loved deeply, shared his life with, and cared for, all the way up until her passing, just 3.5 years before his. Together, they built a life rooted in love, resilience, and partnership, raising two children and creating a family that would grow to include grandchildren and great-grandchildren who adored him.

He will be remembered as a proud patriarch. His strength, wisdom, kindness and cleverness, touched countless lives, and his legacy will continue through the many people he taught, guided and loved. Bobby Jackson’s life was one of purpose, honor and pure heart. He will be deeply missed and forever loved and remembered.

He is preceded in death by his Father, Bernard Lassiter Jackson, Mother, “Annie Bird” Webster Jackson Evans and his loving Wife, Kathy Priddy Jackson.

He is survived by his two brothers, Bernard Jackson Jr, (Jackie); James Luke Jackson, (Michele), his son, John Lucas Jackson, (Amanda Gail Jackson), grandchildren, Michael, Keaundra, Lyric; Miliq, and great grandchildren, Zoie, Frank-Lynn, Athena and Aliy’yah….as well as his daughter, Leah Adrianne Jackson, (Adrian Roldan) and his beloved dog, Foxy Girl Jackson.

A Celebration of Life will be held May 2nd at 2pm, honoring both Bobby; Kathy Jackson, together in life, and together in the afterlife, as they wished…. As above, so below.

This will take place at Centenary United Methodist Church in Stoneville, NC. In lieu of flowers, his children, Lucas; Leah Jackson request the presence of their parent’s family and friends to share in an exchange of love, laughter and memories on this day.

Those who are able are invited to bring a covered dish to enjoy in the fellowship hall, immediately following the remembrance celebration. All are welcome to join…. “Said it’s a blessing, every time you open your eyes…Your greatest possession is life.”
