WILMINGTON — Carolyn Lee Crumpler Gregg, 73, of Wilmington, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on October 9, 1952, in High Point, North Carolina, to the late Leon and Evelyn Grace (McLamb) Crumpler.
Carolyn graduated from Miami Senior High School and the Forsyth Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, where she received her R.N. She also received a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Immaculata University. She enjoyed golfing, skiing, travelling with her husband and children, and raising her dogs. Carolyn was a bright light to all that knew her and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Charles Gregg; her children, John Gregg (Jennifer), Patrick Gregg (Jessica), Kristin Gregg; her siblings, Jill Stone, Gail Crumpler, Marilyn McIntyre, Leon Crumpler; her grandchildren, Brady Gregg, Jackson Gregg; and many other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Wrightsville United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the National MS Society.
