OAK ISLAND — Richard William Malinofsky, of Oak Island, North Carolina passed away on February 1, 2026, at the age of 69.
Richard was born on November 30, 1956 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, son of the late William and Lillian Malinofsky. He grew up in East Brunswick, New Jersey. Richard held a BA and MBA from Rutgers University in Economics and Accounting. He was a Certified Public Accountant. Richard was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Southport, North Carolina.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Malinofsky; his two dogs, Murphy and Brody; and two sisters, Dawne Fineberg and Lisa Lukacs.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
