WILMINGTON — Mark was born on February 19th 1964, in Wilmington NC. He passed away suddenly in his home on December 26th, 2025.
Mark was a beloved Father, Brother, Uncle and friend to those that were fortunate enough to known him. Mark had an easy way about him and a kind spirt that made everyone comfortable. He was a painter by trade since the age of 16. Mark also enjoyed NASCAR and most sports. But his true passion in life was Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, his faith became foremost in his life.
Mark is survived by his son, Kevin Alan Smith (Robyn) two sisters, Sylvia Lester(Shelya) Wanda Doyle, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and Connie Williamson mother of his children.
Mark was proceeded in death by his Daughter: Heather Nicole Smith, Father: Sammy Lanier Sr., Mother: Barbra Lanier, Brother: Sammy Lanier Jr.
To honor Mark‘s memory, his family will hold a private gathering to celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched their world with just a smile and a paintbrush.
