WILMINGTON — Donna Braswell Batchelor, 76, passed from her earthly life Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at home.
She was born August 25, 1949 in Wilmington, the daughter of Jesse Warren Braswell and Mamie Ruth Jones Braswell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Batchelor; and grandson, Justin.
Donna lived a great life. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She enjoyed her plants and flowers until her health would not let her do it anymore. She would go out to her greenhouse and spend hours transplanting plants. She enjoyed her yard work. She loved all animals very much. She would feed the birds and squirrels bread. Any stray cats that showed up Donna would feed them as if they were her own. Most of all Donna loved her family.
Donna had two children, her son, Michael Davis and daughter, Jessica Hinson and husband, Matthew; three grandchildren, Madison Hinson, Cheyenne Antrican and Justin Antrican (deceased); sister, Linda Spearman and husband, Bobby (deceased); and other extended family and friends.
The memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Centerville Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
