WILMINGTON — Cynthia Faye Chinnis, born on August 22, 1945, in Wilmington, NC, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, in the same city she called home for her entire life. She was 80 years old.
Cynthia dedicated her life to being a homemaker, where she created a warm and loving environment for her family. Her days were filled with the joys of playing Bingo, listening to music, and cherishing the time spent with her family and friends. Her gentle spirit and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert C. Chinnis Sr., and her son, Larry Head. Cynthia leaves behind her son, Junior Chinnis, and his wife, Dee Chinnis, as well as many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness.
In accordance with Cynthia’s wishes, there will be no services held. The family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Azalea Health & Rehab activity fund ,Attn: Gwen Miller life enrichment director, located at 3800 Independence Blvd., Wilmington, NC 28412, in her memory.
Cynthia will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
