WILMINGTON — Joyce Helen Gregory, born February 24, 1950, in Wilmington, North Carolina, blessed this world with her loving spirit and unwavering kindness for 75 years until October 23, 2025. A cherished daughter of Wilmington, she returned to her heavenly home from the very place she first embraced life.
Known affectionately as “Aunt Joyce” to many, she opened her heart and home to all, nurturing those around her with a genuine warmth that became her life’s signature. Her greatest hobby was taking care of people, and she possessed a love for animals that reflected her compassionate nature. When she was able loved attending Church at the Pentecostals of Wilmington praising her Lord and Savior.
Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved parents, George Franklin Coston and Mary Hazel Marshburn Coston, and her devoted husband, Robert L. Gregory, Sr. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her son, Robert L. Gregory, Jr., who resides in Wilmington, along with two dear sisters, Judith Watts and Patsy Kane, also of Wilmington, as well as a host of many other family members who will carry her spirit forward.
