CAROLINA BEACH — Mary Sue Gause, age 88 of Carolina Beach, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
She was born in Meadow Bridge, West Virginia on July 7, 1937, to Lacy Patterson & Estelle Campbell. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Jimmy Gause; brother, Brian Patterson; sisters: Linda Kehm, Charlotte Fowler and grandson Lee Gause Jr.
She was the owner of Allied Pest Control at Carolina Beach & a real estate owner. She loved to travel & take her grandchildren on vacation. She loved the mountains & playing cards. She also loved reading books & spending time with her family.
Ms. Gause is survived by her two sons: Lacy Kent Gause (Cindy) and Jimmy Lee Gause (Taffy); her grandchildren: Tammy Weddington (Mike), Kristi Boyd (Kenny), Jennifer Benjamin (William), Holly Butler (Max), and Jessica Willis; great-grandchildren: Kandice Weddington, Kyle & Addison Weddington, Kaitlyn & Chris Brewer, Emily Benjamin, Thomas Butler, Konnor Boyd, Kayla Boyd, Colson Gamble, Nolana Johnson, Talen Johnson, Roan McCumber; great-great grandchildren: Mason Brewer and Olivia Brewer; sisters: June Butler, Eve Patterson and Darlene Pratt & numerous beloved nieces & nephews who will miss her.
