ROCKY POINT — John “Allen” Pierce, 71 of Rocky Point NC passed away peacefully at home on October 30th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert L. Pierce and his parents Edna and John Pierce.
Allen was born on August 15th, 1954, in Rocky Mount, NC. He was a carpenter for most of his life and worked for the maintenance department of UNCW during the years leading up to the decline of his health.
Allen is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Susie Pierce, Daughter Cristy Hummel (Marcus), Sons John Allen Pierce (Priscilla), Timothy Pierce (Jessica), and Billy Pierce (April). Grandchildren Valarie (Paul), Rylie, John Braxton, Landen, Carleigh, Chloe, Peyton, Timberly, Lily, and Harper. Great Grandchildren Jack and Beau. His family was the most important thing in his life. He loved being a husband, father and pappy.
He is also survived by his sister Sue Willoughby, his brother Bill Pierce (Sharon) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
When he wasn’t working Allen could be found hunting and fishing, spending time with family, playing his guitar and spending time in the shed.
Although we will miss him each and every day, we are at peace knowing he is now pain free, full of energy and reunited with loved ones who passed on before him.
