HAMPSTEAD — Amanda “Mandy” Ridenhour Hughes (46) of Hampstead, NC went to be with the Lord on October 29, 2025.
Mandy was born on March 8, 1979 in Durham, NC to Terry Ridenhour and Deborah Brown (Ridenhour).
Mandy is survived by her children Mattix (19) and Savannah (15) of Hampstead, her mother Deborah Brown of Wilmington, NC and her brother Clif (Jamie) of Rock Hill, SC.
Mandy was on staff at Port City Community Church, and in the various roles she held over the years, she cared for others well, helping them find community and hope in Christ. She spoke at and led events, wrote curriculum, trained volunteers, and counseled others in their struggles and time of need. Her contributions and influence leave an indelible mark on Port City.
Mandy was an amazing writer and speaker. She also enjoyed time with family in the mountains and the solitude of a quiet beach day.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Port City Community Church 250 Vision Drive Wilmington NC on November 15, 2025 at 11am.
