HAMPSTEAD — With deep sorrow and profound love, we announce the passing of our cherished mother, Lorraine Bernadette Bedson, who departed this life on September 26, 2025, at the age of ninety. She was a beacon of warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love to all who knew her.
Born April 3, 1935, Lorraine Bernadette Keeshen daughter of William and Hannah Keeshen, in Mt Hope, New Jersey. Lorraine met and married the love of her life, Donald Edward Bedson. They celebrated sixty-five wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a family grounded in love, laughter, and lifelong memories. As a mother, she offered boundless love, wise counsel, and quiet strength – always putting her family first. Lorraine and Donald raised five children: Scott, Kathy, Stephen, Jimmy, and Dianne. They were blessed with 4 daughters-in-law, 2 sons-in-laws, 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, with 2 on the way this spring.
Lorraine excelled in her career as an Allstate Insurance Agent. Although her life was busy, she was always available to volunteer at her local church and other organizations. To be in the company of Lorraine would mean the pleasure of hearing her sing with her lovely voice. Cheer her on and she was ready!
Lorraine loved nothing more than a visit from a loved one or friend, graciously making everyone feel welcomed with her beautiful smile. She always offered a glass of ginger ale or red wine, your choice. She was a listener who made people feel valued and understood.
Upon retirement Lorraine’s days were filled with simple joys, bird watching from the back porch, reading novels and Sunday drives in the country with Donald.
Her legacy is one of love, grace, and quiet strength. Though we grieve her loss deeply, we are grateful for every moment we had and every lesson she passed on to us.
She will be missed beyond measure and remembered always with love. God Bless you and may you rest in peace. Our Love Always.
