WILMINGTON — Sandra Lee Williams, born on September 9, 1955, in Wilmington, North Carolina, peacefully passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 69 in her hometown. Her departure was the result of a courageous battle with cancer.
Sandra devoted much of her life to caring for others, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a local healthcare facility. Her gentle nature and compassion for those in her care left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to know her.
A woman of simple joys, Sandra found solace in the beauty of the natural world. She cherished fishing trips with her husband, John Thomas Williams Sr., and treasured family cookouts by the creek. Her loyal companion, Bentley, a goldendoodle, held a special place in her heart and brought her immense happiness.
Sandra was preceded in death by her dear daughter, Sherry Lynn Turner, as well as her parents, Catherine Morgan and Lester Clifton Benton. She is survived by her devoted husband, John Thomas Williams Sr., her loving son, Bryan Lee Brink, her sister, Wanda Kay Benton Chadwick, and her brothers, Lester Benton, Ronnie Benton, and Troy Lee Evans.
Known for her friendly demeanor and warm spirit, Sandra touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity.
