WILMINGTON — Alberto Morales Reyes, born on April 29, 1977, in Degollado, Jalisco, Mexico, embarked on his final journey on July 26, 2025, in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 48. Alberto lived a life filled with passion, laughter, and an unwavering love for his family, his faith, and the world around him.

A dedicated person with an impressive work ethic, Alberto found joy in serving others throughout his career in the food industry. From his early days at El Cerro Grande to his time at La Santa in New Hampshire, he took every opportunity to create happiness through food and hospitality.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Alberto was a man who truly enjoyed life. An avid outdoor enthusiast, he found solace and adventure in hiking, mountaineering, running, and exercising. His zest for life was contagious to all who knew him. He was a devoted traveler, eager to explore new places and cultures; he always returned home with stories that sparked laughter and joy.

Deeply rooted in his religious faith, Alberto’s spiritual path was instrumental in his life, guiding him with grace and compassion.

Known to those around him as a jokester, Alberto had an infectious laugh and a spirit that uplifted all who met him. His ability to find humor in everyday moments brought warmth and light to his family and friends.

Alberto’s legacy continues through his loving family. He is survived by his parents, Raúl Morales Aguirre and Aurora Reyes de Morales; his wife, Rosebelia Morales López; and his beloved daughter, Victoria Morales.

His memory lives on through his nine sisters and two brothers: Susana and Juana, in Wilmington, NC; Raúl Morales, in Colorado; Guadalupe, Heroína, Rafaela, Sara, Marivel, Irene, Dora Abigail, and Andrés, in Mexico.

His many nieces, nephews, and countless friends, whom he knew and loved, all hold a special place in his memory.

Alberto’s memory will remain forever etched in the hearts of those who were with him.
