WILMINGTON — Harry Lee Hansen, 77, of Wilmington, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on December 18, 1947, in Elk Horn, Iowa, to the late Harry Benjamin Hansen and the late Gladys Jensen.

Harry, a proud Army Veteran, was the owner and operator of Hansen Lawn and Irrigation for over 20 years, a business he built from the ground up with a strong back, steady hands, and a dedication to honest work. Through the years, he never missed a sporting event for his grandchildren. He had a love for the Pitt Stop and the Sawmill Restaurant in Monkey Junction; you would find him there almost every day.

Harry is survived by his son, Jonathan Hansen and wife Rebecca; his daughters, Holly Negrete and husband, Carlos, Heather Walcott and husband, Ali, Crystal Hansen and husband, Robert, Natasha Blue and husband, Steve, Pamela Teague; sister, Phyllis LaBelle;  his grandchildren, Asya Hayes, Autumn Hansen Mills and husband, Hunter, Aaliyah Hansen, Gerald Hansen Jr, Jasmyne Walcott, Layla Walcott, Robert Allinen Jr, Ali Walcott Jr, Elijah Allinen, Amaya Walcott, Austin Hansen, Emma Hansen, Trevor Hansen, Jacob Blue, Cayden, and Damien; sisters- in law, Mary Michael and husband, Timothy, Debbie Murray and husband, Andy; brother-in-law, Patrick Bigley, who was more like a son.

In addition to his parents, Harry was also preceded in death by his wife, Tijuania Bigley Hansen; and his son, Gerald “Wooly” Hansen, and infant brother.

Interment will be at a later date at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
