SOUTHPORT — Louis Dominic Poio, born on April 17, 1949, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025, at the age of 76. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, whose presence will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Louis was a dedicated truck driver by profession, known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his job. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid surfer and fisherman, often spending his free time by the water, embracing the tranquility it offered. Louis also had a passion for cooking and cherished the Sunday dinners he shared with his family, where his culinary skills were always on display.
He attended Valley Forge Military Academy and College in Wayne, PA, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed a strong sense of discipline and camaraderie that he carried throughout his life.
Louis was preceded in death by his loving parents, Anna and Louis Poio. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy Poio; his cherished daughters, Allicia Gnolfo and Sheryl Bonifacius; and his sons-in-law, Robert Gnolfo and Michael Bonifacius. He also leaves behind his adored grandchildren, Devin Bonifacius, Lindsey Bonifacius, and Madison Gnolfo, who brought immense joy to his life.
Though no services are scheduled at this time, the family invites those who knew Louis to remember him in their own way, celebrating the life of a man who touched many hearts with his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family.
Louis Dominic Poio will be remembered fondly and missed deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
