WILMINGTON — Lawson Lee Pugh, 92, of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025.
He was born May 26, 1933, in Charleston, WV, to the late Grover Cleveland Pugh and Pearlie Slater Pugh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Carol Ann Noble Pugh and siblings, Clifford Cook, Grace Massey, James Pugh, Lucinda West, Clotil Irving, Arthur Pugh, Jimmy Lee Cook, Rhonda Sherman and Tommy Cook and son-in-law, Tracy Herring.
Survivors include his daughters, Melanie Herring, Heather Hyatt and Mindie Harmon; sons-in-law, Kenny Harmon, Guy Sherman and Gary Hyatt; 7 grandchildren, Gary and Rebecca Hyatt, Lee and William Sherman, Cole Herring, Fawn Walton and Vivia Harmon; 8 great-grandchildren; Connor Harmon, Savannah & Gabrielle Sosa, Carson , Casey and Tracy Herring, Esme Sherman, and Claire Walton; sisters, June Miller and Pearl Blackmon and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, July 1, at Andrews Valley Chapel.
The family will receive visitors one hour prior, beginning at 1pm.
Entombment will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
