WILMINGTON — Jennifer Lynn Meyer Ezzell, 40, passed away in her home on June 20, 2025.
Jennifer was a kind and loving mother and a fiercely passionate nurse.
Those who will miss her include her fiancé, Steven Myre; her three children Chase White, Sawyer Ezzell, and Emmalyn Ezzell, and her soon-to-be stepson Augie Myre; her parents Lisa Scott and Gregg and Renee Meyer; her brothers Nicholas Meyer, Huston Meyer, Luke Steedman, Dylan Steedman, and her sister Savannah Steedman. She also says goodbye to two men who have had such an impact on her life, Turner Ezzell and Tim Scott.
Others who stood by her in life include her grandparents Bill and Linda Hall, Carolyn Meyer and Alvin Meyer (both deceased); her aunts and uncles Shirley Daugherty and husband Ron, Rick Hall, Patti “Trish” Lehman and husband John, Brad Hall, Michael Hall and wife Jennifer, Chris Meyer Buchanan, Jeff Meyer and wife Lori, Tyrone Meyer, and countless cousins and friends across the country.
Jennifer was born at Whiteman Air Force Base MO but made her life in Wilmington NC. She received an Associate of Science in Business degree from Horry-Georgetown Technical College, and an Associate of Science in Nursing degree from James Sprunt Community College. She established herself in the field of nursing, tirelessly caring for her clients affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related disorders. Jennifer will always be remembered for her indomitable spirit in caring for others.
One of Jennifer’s favorite sayings was “Live, Laugh, Love”, and these were truly words she lived by; they are everything that she did and everything that she was. Her family will remember her most and best for her vivaciousness for life, her sweet and easy smile and sense of humor, and her absolute and unwavering love for them all.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will take place in the very near future and details will be announced through social media.
