WILMINGTON — Patricia “Pat” Ann Shipman Jackson, of Wilmington NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 12th, 2025, at NorthChase Nursing Facility. Pat was born May 28th, 1948.
Pat was a woman of faith who loved the lord and her family unconditionally. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC .
She was a grandmother to Kaylee Jackson who was the apple of her eye and loved spending her time with her while her parents worked. She and her son Shannon Jackson were her world and she stopped at nothing to make sure they were taken care of and had everything they needed.
Shannon took care of his Mom in the home until he was no longer able to do so. She loved her son and he loved her and was the best caregiver to his Mom.
Pat was always a very independent woman and would take the enjoyment in her home and her yard as well as a business owner of New Hanover Moving and Storage for over 22 years with her son Shannon and husband Glen until his passing.
Pat and her sister Geri were the best of sisters. They so enjoyed each other so much. They talked on the phone several times per day. You may actually catch them shopping together on the weekends or sitting at McDonalds with old friends sharing stories of days gone by. Everyone always told them they were like twins since they had so much in common.
Pat loved her nieces Tammy, Tina and Trudi dearly and they loved her just as much . She always looked forward to their visits and the time they spent together. She was always willing to offer you a cookie or cake upon visiting as she did love her sweets and her diet Sundrop. She always had a story to reminisce about them growing up and her laugh was always contagious.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband Miland Glen Jackson and parents Marson Clayton Shipman and Annie Kersey Shipman and brother Marson Lavonne Shipman “Buddy” all of Wilmington, NC.
Pat is survived by her son, Shannon Glen Jackson of Wilmington, NC; granddaughter, Kayle Ann Jackson of Delco, NC; sister, Geraldine “Geri” Shipman Hollar; and three nieces, Tammy Hollar Brock (Mark), Tina Hollar Whaley (Bruce) and Trudi Hollar Murray, all of Wilmington, NC.
A special “Thank You” to the nurses at NorthChase and Hospice that took care of her and to everyone for all your prayers and concerns during this difficult time.
