WILMINGTON — Janet Regan, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, in Wilmington, NC, just shy of her 67th birthday. She was born on May 21, 1958, in Buffalo, NY, to Mary Sara “Sadye” Shields and James R. Shields.
Janet grew up in Depew, NY, where she graduated from Depew High School. She went on to build a career in sales within the hotel industry, where her warm personality and dedication made her a valued colleague and friend to many.
Outside of her professional life, Janet found great joy in gardening. Her love for planting flowers and spending time outdoors brought vibrancy and beauty to her surroundings, reflecting the warmth she shared with everyone she met.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Martin Regan, and her son Kenneth Holmes. She is survived by her son, Joshua Holmes, her brother James S. Shields, and her special cousin Judi Travers.
At this time, no formal services are planned. Janet’s family invites those who knew her to celebrate her life by planting a flower in her memory, continuing her tradition of bringing beauty to the world.
