WILMINGTON — Coreen Sue Shipp, 80, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, in Wilmington, North Carolina. Born in Kenton, Ohio, she was most recently a resident of Winnabow, NC.
Coreen was a woman of great warmth, known for her love of card games and her passion for shopping. Her vibrant spirit and generous heart touched all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She pursued her education with dedication, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, which reflected her lifelong commitment to personal growth.
Coreen was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Lester Eugene Shipp and Dixie Lee Shipp.
She leaves behind a circle of cherished friends who were like family to her. Her dear friend and roommate, Rhonda Maxwell, along with her faithful friends, Steve and Donna Rosser, and her loyal friend, Rhonda Mason, will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
A service to honor and celebrate Coreen’s life will be held at a later date.
Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and friendship will endure in the hearts of those who knew her.
