LELAND — Gladys Esther Lugo, 81, of Leland, passed away peacefully at SECU Hospice House, Bolivia, on Friday, December 27, 2024.
A native of Puerto Rico, Glady grew up in the New York City area. She loved filling her family’s home with great warmth and great food. She is survived by her four children Tamara Hayes, Gregory Lugo, Andrew Lugo, and Lorraine Koutrouby.
Gladys was a school food service supervisor for many years, and enjoyed her daily interactions with the students and staff. She was also a world traveler with several tour groups, enjoying new places, cultures and food wherever she travelled. She was a devout Catholic, and deeply embraced her trips to the Holy Land and to Rome.
