WILMINGTON — Marian Milanak Careatti, 76, passed away on Wednesday at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Born in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Midred Plocha Milanak.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Milanak; sister-in-law, Cindy Milanak; and brother-in-law, Jerry Stramaski.
Marian is survived by her husband of 58 years, Don Careatti; daughter, Suzanne Timmons and husband, Jim; son, Anthony Careatti and wife, Christina; sister, Phyllis Stramaski; grandson, Andy Timmons; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Marian enjoyed anything related to crafts – sewing, crocheting, and painting to create lovely and thoughtful crafts for others. She was a member of the Crafty Friday Ministry at Wrightsboro United Methodist Church, and a member of the GRADS crafting group at New Hanover County Senior Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Marian to Wrightsboro United Methodist Church or to the New Hanover County Senior Resource Center.
