WILMINGTON — Lillian Juanita Bearden, born on January 22, 1940, in Petersburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 84.
Lillian enjoyed being in the outdoors including the beach, bird watching, a good cup of coffee, playing Bingo and never passed a chance of getting dessert after a good meal.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, George Walls and Vergie Holloman-Walls; son John A Jackson, and grandson Dustin A. Geverd.
Lillian is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Lonnie B. Bearden; her loving children, Anita Bishop and Penny Geverd; grandchildren Haley Bishop and Shannon Lunsford.
Family celebration of life will be held at later date.
Lillian will be remembered fondly by all those whose lives she touched. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
