LELAND — Richard Allen Gordon, 60, of Leland, North Carolina, passed away on December 15, 2024.
Born in Columbus, Indiana, in 1964, he was the beloved son of Marshall and Patty Gordon of Tampa, Florida.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife, Cheryl, with whom he shared 21 years of marriage since their union in 2003.
He was a proud father to his daughters Paige Gordon (Dan) and Kori Cooper (Devon), and a loving grandfather to Evelyn and Oliver.
He is also survived by his brother Dustin Gordon and nephew Gage Robinson.
Richard was preceded in death by his sister Tammy Robinson and her husband Greg, as well as his grandparents.
A dedicated professional, Richard achieved the role of Director of Operations for Papa John’s Pizza during his career. He found great joy in mentoring and teaching those he worked with, leaving a lasting impact on many.
Richard had a passion for life’s simple pleasures. He loved attending NASCAR races, golfing, and going on cruises. His love for animals was evident in the care he gave to his dogs Simone and Donavan and his cat Pepper.
In keeping with his generous spirit, Richard participated in Miracles on Site organ donations, ensuring that even in passing, he could make a difference in the lives of others.
