LELAND — It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Nancy Charlene Long Taylor of Leland, NC. Charlene passed away On December 25, 2024, at the age of 67. Charlene passed Peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Charlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband Billy Ray Taylor, Sr. and her parents Vernon David Long Sr. and Nancy Robbins Long.
Charlene will be dearly missed by her children Heather Taylor, Hope Taylor Pittman (Travis) Billy Ray Taylor, Jr. (Anna) and Rylan Taylor. Grandchildren Charles Taylor, Justin Taylor, Nathan Taylor and Lillian Thompson, included are her sister, her brother, nieces, her four Great-grandchildren and other family and friends.
Charlene was a longtime member of Woodburn Presbyterian Church where she was a choir member and a gifted Pianist.
Charlene was what most people knew her as enjoying Horseback riding, Karaoke, Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts, Traveling and spending time with her Family. She was a community volunteer and a member of the Unity Group of North Brunswick. She loved kids and working with the Therapeutic Riding Program for many years.
The family would like to thank EMS/Fire for being so sweet when they came, to the doctors and nurses at Novant Health from the ER to the 2nd floor for all their kindness, sweet words and for the blanket and stuffed animal.
Charlene will be greatly missed.
