WILMINGTON — Elizabeth Ames Weathersbee died peacefully on December 27, 2024.
Elizabeth (also known as “Beth” for most of her younger years) was born on February 28, 1954 in Wilmington, NC, where she lived all of her life except for the past six years at Brunswick Cove Living Center on River Road SE south of Belville, NC.
Elizabeth was the daughter of Dorothy Harriss Weathersbee and Ransey Weathersbee, Jr., both of Wilmington, NC. She was the granddaughter of Elizabeth Ames Skelding (Harriss) Awalt and Andrew Howell Harriss, Jr. and Cora Meredith Weathersbee and Ransey Weathersbee, Sr. She is survived by her brother, Andrew Harriss Weathersbee, and his wife, Elizabeth McPhail Weathersbee of Charlotte, NC.
A memorial service for family members will be held at a later date.
