WILMINGTON — Hazel Louise Fuller, aged 94, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024, at the Laurels of Pender in Burgaw, North Carolina. Born on April 6, 1930, in Wilmington, North Carolina, she lived a life marked by dedication to her family and faith.
Hazel was a devoted member of the Pentecostals of Wilmington Church, where she found spiritual strength and community throughout her life. She worked diligently as a seamstress at France Neckwear in Wilmington until her retirement, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Hosea Dixon Marshburn and Dollie Lurie Hobbs Marshburn Costin.; her husband, John B. Fuller, Jr.; brothers George Costin, Jack Costin, and Marvin Marshburn; and sisters Sadie Marshburn, Arlene Blake, Mary Pyles, Lois Giacobbi, and Juanita Eubanks.
Hazel’s memory will be cherished by her surviving sons, John Michael Fuller and his wife Christine of Burgaw, and Robert Jack Fuller and his wife Crystal of Linden, TN; two grandchildren Daniel Fuller and Melissa C. Fuller; and three great grandchildren. Her legacy continues through them and the many lives she touched.
Hazel will be dearly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
