SOUTHPORT — Terry Lee Peters, age 75, of Southport, North Carolina passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024.
Mr. Peters was born June 5, 1949 in Lancaster, PA, son of the late Charles and Mary Peters.
He worked for MasTec for many years in several locations. Terry loved his job and the people who worked with him. Prior to working for MasTec, he owned his own business, teaching many people his craft.
Terry loved spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle, fishing, and playing cards. His favorite saying was “you can’t hurt steel”. His family loved him dearly and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Peters; three children, Georgia Lee Pruitt and husband Jerry, Roger Lee Peters, and Tiffany Lee Woodall and husband Kerry; nine grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, Lacie, Brittnie, Trey, Chelsea,Tori, Jaxson, and Kinslee; six great-grandchildren, Amari, Parker, Stevie, Everlee, Jacob, and Colby; two sisters, Penny Taylor and Pamela Crain; a brother, Benjamin Peters and wife Mimi; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Valerie Ann Peters; a great-granddaughter, Kylee; a brother, Pete Peters; and a sister, Dawn Peters.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
