SOUTHPORT — Raymond Howard “Ray” Haves, age 75, of Southport, North Carolina left us too soon on Monday, October 21, 2024.
He was much loved by his parents, Jim and Isabel Reidy.
Ray leaves behind his son, James Haves and wife Tiffany; five siblings, Peggy, Cindy, Jaime, Wes, and Jimmy; grandfather to Nathan and wife Rebecca, Joseph, Katelyn, and Jacey; great-grandfather to Aiden; his former wife; and numerous friends and extended family.
In his early years, Ray was a prototype design engineer for the automotive industry. In “retirement”, Ray worked in the car industry as a custom painter and restorer. He died doing what he loved.
Ray was an avid golfer, and active boater, climber, flyer, snowmobiler, motorcyclist, and guitarist. He will be missed by his family and his many, many friends.
