WILMINGTON — Shelby Jean Covington of Wilmington, NC went home to be with her Lord on her 88th birthday, Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
Mrs. Covington was born July 3, 1936, the daughter of the late Millard & Gly Watts.
Her loving husband Johnny Covington preceded Mrs. Covington in death. Mrs. Covington was also preceded in death by six siblings: Leonard (Flip) Watts, Elbert Watts, James Watts, Bobby Watts, Trixie Watts King and Clarice Watts Peterson.
Prior to her decline in health, Mrs. Covington attended Pine Valley Church of God. Shelby loved her Lord, her family and many special friends.
Mrs. Covington is survived by her two sons: Mark Covington and Kevin Covington; one Granddaughter Kalen (Covington) Kennedy. Mrs. Covington was also survived by numerous Nieces and Nephews whom she loved dearly.
