WILMINGTON — Mary A. Rabasco, 90 years old, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2024 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
She was born in the Bronx, New York on June 1, 1934 to Giuseppe and Bernarda (Greco) Bove. Her family honored her on June 1st with a surprise party celebrating her 90th birthday. She married her husband of 71 years, Peter Rabasco, in 1952 in Mt. Vernon, New York.
At retirement, they moved to Wilmington, North Carolina. Mary enjoyed entertaining family and friends, dining out, and spending time with her great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed her occasional casino outings. Mary and Peter enjoyed extensive traveling over the years. Their trips
covered most of the US including Alaska and Hawaii, Canada and many European countries, Australia, and China.
She is survived by her husband, Peter, her children, Theresa (Anthony) DiBernardo, Ralph (Maryann) Rabasco, grandchildren, Anthony DiBernardo, Regina (Chris) Campbell, Peter Rabasco, and Michael Rabasco and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brother Pasquale Bove.
The Family will receive visitors at the Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 S. College Rd., Wilmington, North Carolina on Friday, July 5th, between 4:30 – 5:30PM.
A Graveside Service and Burial will be held at the Cemetery of the Holy Sepulchre, in New Rochelle, New York, on Friday, July 12th at 11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers a donation to Hospice or your local Food Pantry/Food Bank would be appreciated.
