OAK ISLAND — Karen Ann Ilchert, age 65, of Oak Island, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024.
Karen was born September 7, 1958 in Flushing, New York, daughter of the late George and Joan Ilchert. She was a retired New York City Police Sergeant, moving to Oak Island in 2010. Karen loved to travel the world, cruises were her favorite.
Survivors include her three siblings, George Ilchert, Lynne Manes and husband Robert, and Kristin Ilchert; and five nephews, Robert Manes, Matthew Rooney, Paul Manes, Ethan Ilchert, and Nolan Ilchert.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Peter Ilchert.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
