CASTLE HAYNE — Nancy Anderson Mathews passed away at her home in Castle Hayne, NC. on Thursday, May 23, 2024.Nancy was born on Friday, June 9, 1943, the daughter of the late Oscar and Flora Anderson in Wilmington, NC. Nancy enjoyed working in the yard and relaxing on the water.
Nancy is survived by her daughter Debbie Beverage and husband William of Wilmington, NC. Son, Michael Mathews and his wife Lisa of Hampstead, NC. Son, Greg Mathews of Burgaw, NC. Grandchildren, Tyler, Kayla, Tanner, Kinsley, Megan, Madeline, Haley, Katie and Robert Great-Grandchildren, Clarke, Julien, Merrick, Bodie, Nora, Adley, Maeve, Rhett, Vera and Morrison. She is also survived by her Brothers; Bobby Anderson, Doug Anderson and wife (Laura). She is also survived by her special friend Ted Stone.
Mrs. Mathews was preceded in death by her husband of many years Robert Henry Mathews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Wrightsboro Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC. Officiated by her nephew Butler Anderson. After the service the family will receive family and friends at 1429 Fork Drive in Castle Hayne, NC.
