SOUTHPORT — Denise Fields, age 68, of Winnabow, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024.
Mrs. Fields was born November 2, 1955, daughter of the late Ivan and Jennie Pendleton.
Denise was an employee of Duke Energy for several years and enjoyed working with her co-workers who she also called family. She loved growing flowers and plants, while taking many pictures to share with her friends and family. She loved telling funny stories and jokes and enjoyed making others smile. Her favorite places were vacationing in the mountains and visiting the beach. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and her life will be remembered by so many people who she touched while here with us.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Michael D. Fields; three children, Stacey S. Riley, Carolyn Butler, and Michael C. Fields and wife Agnes; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Calvin Pendleton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Pendleton; and two sisters, Brenda Pendleton Bringle and Paula Pendleton Glass.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 13 from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the Boiling Spring Lakes Community Building located at 1 Leeds Rd, Southport NC.
