WILMINGTON — David Leon Gurganus, age 66, beloved son and brother passed gently from his earthly life Thursday, June 29, 2023 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
He was born April 19, 1957 in Sampson County, the son of David Nelson Gurganus and Drucille Woodcock King. In addition to his father David was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Gurganus.
David is survived by his mother, Drucille “Dru” Woodcock King; sister, Regina Gurganus; and many extended family members.
David was a kindhearted, helpful man who dearly loved his family. He always enjoyed a good steak dinner.
We will love and miss you forever. Rest in peace our dear Pete.
