SOUTHPORT — Jacqueline D Brzezniak, age 79 of Oak Island died June 6, 2023 at her residence. She is survived by her daughter. From South Amboy, NJ, Jackie was a registered nurse and spent both her career and life caring for others. She retired from Pocopson Home in Chester County, PA and moved to Oak Island with her husband Patrick shortly after.
An avid golfer, she spent many hours on the courses at South Harbour and Oak Island. A passionate philanthropist, she was a member of P.E.O since 1985, and was an avid reader and supporter of local libraries. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she was active with the Ladies Guild.
Jackie was known to be the first to offer help to anyone in need, and spent many years volunteering in the Dosher Hospital emergency room. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, both locally and afar. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in her name to Southport Oak Island Animal Rescue (S.O.A.R) or the Southport Oak Island Interchurch Fellowship Food Pantry. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date by the family.
